Terms of Service

These terms cover use of the Motozy Android app, the Motozy web dashboard and their backend services. By creating a business account ("Owner") or accepting a staff invite ("Manager"/"Staff"), you agree to them.

What Motozy is

Motozy is rental-business management software: tracking bikes, rentals, customers, payments, expenses, and reports for a rental business you operate. Motozy is a tool, not a party to any rental transaction between you and your customers — disputes, refunds, damages, or legal issues arising from your rental business are between you and your customers, not Motozy.

Accounts and eligibility

• You can sign in with a phone number, an email address and password (the address must be confirmed by a link we email before you set up a business), or a Google account.
• One business per tenant account. The Owner is the person who created the business and is responsible for it, including who they invite as Manager/Staff and what those roles can see or do.
• You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Motozy is not liable for actions taken through your account by someone you gave access to.
• You must provide accurate business information during setup.

Subscription and billing

• Free forever: unlimited bikes and rentals, payments, returns and receipts (as a picture), customers with ID photos, expenses, the dashboard, reports and analytics, and Simple export files. There is no trial period and no time limit.
• Pro (paid subscription) adds Staff & Roles, Detailed PDF and Excel export, the web dashboard, bulk fleet import, receipt PDFs without the Motozy line, and the monthly email report.
• Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through Google Play — pricing, renewal, and cancellation all follow Google Play's billing terms. Motozy does not process payments directly and never sees your card details.
• Cancellation: cancel any time through Google Play's subscription management (Play Store app → Menu → Subscriptions, or via the "Manage Subscription" link in Motozy's Settings). You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own refund policy. Motozy does not independently issue refunds for subscription charges.
• When Pro ends, Pro features pause but your data is never deleted or hidden.

Your data and your customers' data

You (the Owner) own the business data you enter. You're responsible for having the right to collect and store your customers' information — including ID photos and documents — under the laws that apply to your business; Motozy provides the storage, not the legal basis for collecting it. You are also responsible for the messages you send to customers, such as receipts, payment reminders and review requests: they are sent from your own WhatsApp or messaging app when you choose, and must follow the rules and consent requirements that apply to you. Acceptable use

Don't use Motozy to: violate any law; store data you don't have the right to collect; send spam or unwanted messages to customers; attempt to access another business's data or account; interfere with the service's operation; or resell/sublicense access without agreement from Motozy.

Messages from Motozy

We send account and security emails (address verification, password reset, subscription notices) and, on Pro, a monthly report. Product news and offers arrive as notifications and can be switched off in Settings → Notifications.

Availability and changes to the service

Motozy is provided "as is." We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service — it depends on third-party infrastructure (Google Cloud/Firebase, Google Play, WhatsApp) outside our direct control. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

Termination

You may stop using Motozy and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete My Account, or delete-account.html). When an Owner deletes a business, access ends immediately and the data is erased after 30 days; contact us within that window to restore it. We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms, non-payment on a Pro subscription, or suspected fraudulent/abusive use.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Motozy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the business operating Motozy is registered, except where local consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify Owners in-app for significant changes.
